Safety of the customers is the most precious value. In order to guarantee it, Fornetti operates an internally developed, IT-based, complex system responsible for material management and technology, which follows up, documents and monitors the food safety and quality of the products from their raw material state to the customers.
In our production plants, Italian and German automated and semi-automated production equipment representing the most up-to-date technology, together with their excellently trained operating staff ensure the high production quality of our products. Our products must only include raw materials provided by regularly inspected suppliers implementing very demanding requirements.
Raw materials are only allowed to be included into production in case all their parameter values prove to be appropriate following the microbiological examination carried out by our own laboratory with good results.
Our Factory Measurement Data Acquisition System follows up the path of the product from kneading to packaging. This is a fixed system built into the automated production lines with integrated sensors and workstations used for carrying out the measurements at the intervals specified by the software. Data recorded by the system are accessible online for those properly authorised, so it allows professionals to take immediate action, if necessary.
Fornetti uses the best quality, natural raw materials for its products, and strives to manufacture products with the most beneficial physiological effects. The home-made style products are manufactured amongst industrial circumstances in such a way that although the original receipts are not altered to the slightest, but they still benefit from the advantages of industrial safety, accuracy, hygiene and constant quality provided by the modern, automated factories. The product developers take the latest research results into consideration. In the course of their work they co-operate with the most outstanding researchers of nutrition and dietetics in order to provide customers the latest international scientific results in the form of “always warm” bakery products.
In line with the purpose of Act 02.05.2006 on the Protection and Welfare of Animals, Fornetti Group attaches the utmost importance to the protection of individuals in the animal kingdom and agrees on the need to increase the sense of responsibility of humans in the interest of tolerant treatment of animals.
In this spirit, the company is aware that animals are living creatures that are capable of feeling, suffering and showing happiness, and it is a moral duty for every human being to respect them and guarantee their well being. Fornetti Group therefore supports the protection of animal rights and ethical animal husbandry in all forums – our partner’s compliance with the requirements of the aforementioned law and the state-of-the-art animal welfare measures taken by our raw material suppliers are highlighted in the on-site audit thereof. Fornetti Group works only and exclusively with those who are committed to considerate animal husbandry and the production of raw materials which meet the above-mentioned criteria.
This includes raw materials made with eggs, for which Fornetti Group pays special attention to the following:
The products made by our company are subject to strict and comprehensive food safety rules, which are adhered to by Fornetti Group in all circumstances. For us, the most important task is to protect the health of our consumers and to ensure maximum food safety – we fully comply with the requirements set by legislation and standards for our products.
Since the use of animal products from different ranges raises significant food safety issues, we invariably ponder over whether which form of keeping animals can be considered the safest for the use of the given raw material separately in each case; only raw materials from regularly inspected suppliers which meet strict conditions can be included in our products. We perform microbiological tests on the received raw materials in all cases – only raw the materials made with eggs which are found to be perfect in all their parameters can be used in our products.
The results of expert studies show that due to the proven general dangers of free range (health exposure, hygiene problems), the safest way to keep chickens for the market and consumers is the deep litter system, which has a small ecological footprint and adequate product and consumer safety.
Therefore, taking into consideration our sustainability goals and the possibilities provided by food safety rules, laws and regulations, Fornetti Group uses an increasing proportion of eggs and products made thereof from the deep litter system every year: these types of products now account for almost 50% of our total use.
Our set goal is to use direct preparations made only and exclusively from the deep litter system for the production of our products by 2023.
